Product Details
LG 40U990A-W UltraFine evo 40-Inch 5K2K WUHD Nano IPS Black Monitor with Thunderbolt 5
The LG 40U990A-W UltraFine evo 40-inch professional monitor combines 5K2K WUHD resolution with a Nano IPS Black panel, HDR 600, up to 99% DCI-P3 coverage and a 2000:1 contrast ratio. On supported Thunderbolt 5 or DisplayPort 2.1 devices, it can output 5120 x 2160 at 120Hz using the included Thunderbolt 5 cable while delivering 96W Power Delivery.1 The wide, high-resolution workspace is built for design, editing, visual precision and other focused creative workflows.
This LG computer monitor also supports a single-cable daisy chain between a laptop and two monitors, helping reduce desktop cabling in multi-display production setups; the second monitor is sold separately.2 DisplayPort, HDMI and USB-C provide additional ways to connect source devices.
Key Features
Wide 5K2K WUHD Workspace
The 40-inch canvas gives creative projects room to breathe, while 5K2K clarity helps reveal fine details in designs, edits and other precision-focused work. Its broad format can keep more tools, timelines and visual content in view within one focused workspace.
Nano IPS Black With HDR 600
Nano IPS Black panel technology and HDR 600 work together to produce deep blacks, vivid color and stronger contrast. That combination helps images retain visual impact across bright highlights, dark areas and richly colored content.
Up to 99% DCI-P3 Color
Coverage of up to 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut supports wide-gamut creative work, preserving the range between bold hues and more subtle shades. It is designed for projects where color precision matters throughout the editing process.
2000:1 Contrast Ratio
A 2000:1 contrast ratio adds tonal separation and visual depth, bringing more distinction to dark imagery and layered compositions. Deeper blacks help fine details remain easier to evaluate when working with contrast-rich content.
Thunderbolt 5 With 96W Power Delivery
Thunderbolt 5 supports a fast, stable connection for 5K2K production while providing 96W charging to a compatible laptop.1 Combining the display signal and laptop power through one connection creates a more streamlined way to dock a mobile creative workstation.
Single-Cable Daisy-Chain Setup
The daisy-chain connection can link a laptop and two monitors with a cleaner cable path, giving multi-display workflows more room without adding unnecessary desktop clutter. A second monitor is required and sold separately.2
